EMSC participated in the “Knowledge Exchange Workshop on Disaster Risk Reduction and Governance,” organized by the National Center for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP), with the participation of government entities, international organizations, and municipalities.
Held over two days, the workshop focused on key aspects of disaster risk reduction, including the development of the National Risk Register, early warning systems, disaster and loss tracking mechanisms, and the management of disaster databases. Participants also reviewed regional and Arab experiences in responding to hurricanes, tsunamis, wildfires, and floods.
The Center’s participation reflects its commitment to strengthening interagency coordination, exchanging expertise, and enhancing national preparedness and response capabilities to better address emergencies, crises, and disasters.
