The Emergency Medicine and Support Center is continuing its participation in the international training program “Improving Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Systems in Disaster Situations” in Japan. The program is organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), in collaboration with the Hyogo Institute for Stress and Trauma.
This participation forms part of the Ministry of Health’s and the Center’s efforts to strengthen national capacities and benefit from Japan’s experience in disaster preparedness and in addressing the psychological and social impacts of disasters. These efforts aim to enhance plans and mechanisms for providing support to affected individuals during emergencies.
The program also provides opportunities for knowledge exchange, experience sharing, and expanded cooperation and training, supporting the Center’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Libya’s disaster and crisis response system.
