As part of the training program in the United States, trainees from the Emergency Medicine and Support Center visited the Emergency Operations Center in North Carolina today, where they met with Mr. William Ray, Director of Emergency Management for the state.
During the visit, Mr. Ray presented the center’s operational mechanisms and its advanced disaster response capabilities, highlighting the state’s experience during Hurricane “Helen,” which struck the region in September 2024, causing severe damage to infrastructure and both public and private property.
The discussion also covered the emergency response plan activated during the hurricane and the recovery measures implemented afterward. The visit offered trainees a valuable opportunity to learn about best practices in natural disaster management.
