As a result of a dedicated professional development effort, the Emergency Medicine and Support Center held a graduation ceremony in the United States for its team members who successfully completed a distinguished training program in collaboration with Georgetown University.
The event was attended by representatives from both the Libyan and American sides, as follows:
From the Libyan side:
- Dr. Tarek Al-Hamshari – General Manager of the Emergency Medicine and Support Center
- Dr. Ayman Al-Sayyid – Deputy Health Attaché at the Libyan Embassy
- Mr. Joseph Tori – Health Insurance Advisor at the Libyan Embassy
- Graduating members of the Center’s team
From the American side:
- Mr. Mohamed Al-Kilani – Director of the U.S.–Libya Business Association
- Dr. Yahya Al-Tajouri – Medical Director of MedStar Hospital in Maryland
- Ms. Anita Cox – Head of the Office of International Cooperation at the U.S. Women’s Health Institute
- Professor Tim Fraser – Professor of Health Policy and International Relations at Georgetown University
- A distinguished group of academics and administrators from Georgetown University
This program reflects EMSC’s ongoing commitment to developing its medical staff through world-class training, with the goal of enhancing the quality of emergency services and improving healthcare delivery throughout Libya.
