The Emergency Medicine and Support Center participated in the 2nd Annual World Diabetes Day Forum, as part of its ongoing efforts to support awareness and educational programs addressing chronic diseases and their impact on individual and community health.
Dr. Nizar Abdulhafith, representing the Center, delivered a scientific lecture entitled:
“Metabolic Syndrome Between Past and Future”
The lecture addressed the concept of metabolic syndrome and the evolution of understanding it over the years, as well as associated factors such as obesity, hypertension, and dyslipidemia. It also explored future approaches to prevention and treatment, and highlighted the importance of early awareness to reduce complications, particularly given the strong link between metabolic syndrome and diabetes.
This participation reflects the Center’s commitment to contributing to scientific and educational initiatives, and to promoting a culture of prevention and early diagnosis, ultimately improving quality of life and public health within our community.
