On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, an awareness meeting on cholera was held at the Tropical Medicine Center Hall in Al-Kufra, in cooperation between the Al-Kufra Municipal Council and the World Health Organization (WHO).
The meeting was attended by all concerned entities, including:
- Emergency Medicine & Support Office – Al-Kufra
- Health Emergency Room
- Local health services and institutions
- Environmental Sanitation Office
- Municipal Guard
- Water Company
- Community Leaders
The discussions focused on:
- Raising public health awareness among citizens.
- Outlining the preventive measures taken by each entity to combat infection.
- Emphasizing the importance of dealing responsibly without exaggeration or causing public panic.
Thanks to God, no cholera cases have been reported in Al-Kufra so far, while field and awareness efforts continue to safeguard the health and safety of the community.
