The first day, Monday, July 14, began with a valuable lecture delivered by Mr. Brad Kieserman, Vice President of the American Red Cross for Operations and Logistics, who possesses extensive experience in disaster and emergency management within the United States.
The lecture addressed rapid response mechanisms in emergency situations, emphasizing the importance of advanced planning and coordination among different agencies to ensure relief reaches those in need efficiently and effectively.
The day’s activities also included a field visit to the American Red Cross headquarters, where participants reviewed emergency systems and advanced emergency plans, and learned how to manage operations rooms and logistics supply warehouses during crises.
This training is part of a series of sessions aimed at exchanging expertise with leading American institutions and elevating the preparedness level of Libyan emergency teams under various conditions.
