Completion of the Comprehensive Training Program Organized by the Emergency Medicine and Support Center in Collaboration with FAST ASSISTANCE

Today marks the successful conclusion of a comprehensive six-month training program organized by the Emergency Medicine and Support Center in collaboration with FAST ASSISTANCE. This program was specifically designed to enhance the skills of our medical and administrative teams in reviewing and auditing invoices from private Tunisian clinics.
The program saw the participation of three doctors and three administrative staff members, divided into two three-month training cycles with a break in between. It featured an intensive blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application.
The first cycle covered essential topics, including medical terminology in French, the legal and regulatory framework for medical practice in Tunisia, and the billing system within private clinics. A strong emphasis was placed on the rules for monitoring healthcare services such as accommodation, pharmacy, medical examinations, surgical procedures, and additional services.
The second cycle focused on classifying medical and surgical procedures, pricing doctors’ fees, and billing for external services like physiotherapy, laboratory tests, and ambulance services. Crucially, it also included practical workshops on real patient medical records to reinforce the applied aspects of auditing.
The program concluded with both written and practical examinations to assess the participants’ understanding of the acquired concepts. This initiative represents a pivotal step towards establishing greater transparency, improving monitoring efficiency, and ensuring the quality of healthcare services provided to Libyan patients
