In a scene that reflects the true meaning of reaching those most in need of care, the Emergency Medicine and Support Center carried out a medical convoy to the Tadrart region one of the isolated areas deep in the desert, located more than 100 kilometers from the nearest city, Al-Awainat.
This humanitarian effort came in response to the health conditions caused by a recent wave of rain accompanied by hail, which led to cases of cold-related illness and fatigue among residents.
The convoy covered several communities and border areas within the Tadrart region, including Asoul, Atoula, Adad, Abrakt, Aghhar, and Tin Tihadhin. Medical teams moved between these locations, which vary in distance from Al-Awainat Municipality from about 3 kilometers to over 100 kilometers under challenging field conditions and significant geographical isolation, highlighting the importance of this intervention.
The convoy provided medical services to residents and also conducted examinations for a number of cases at Al-Awainat Hospital. In total, 40 cases were examined, reflecting the Center’s commitment to delivering healthcare to remote and border areas and alleviating the suffering of communities wherever they may be.
