At the invitation of the National Center for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management, the Emergency Medicine and Support Center participated in the National Gap Analysis Workshop for the “Early Warnings for All” (EW4All) initiative, held in Tripoli with the participation of a number of national institutions and relevant international organizations.
The workshop examined the current state of Libya’s early warning system, including the challenges and gaps related to monitoring, forecasting, issuing warnings, and communicating them to the public, as well as ensuring an effective response when emergencies and disasters occur.
The Center’s participation reflects its role in emergency response, field operations, and rescue. It also provided an opportunity to contribute its field experience to efforts aimed at developing a more integrated and effective early warning system and strengthening the link between early warning and on-the-ground response, ultimately contributing to risk reduction and the protection of lives.
