As part of a series of field visits targeting southern regions, and within a broader program aimed at rehabilitating healthcare facilities across Libya, a specialized team from the Emergency Medicine and Support Center conducted a visit today to Al-Awainat, located in the far southwest of the country, approximately 1,222 kilometers from Tripoli.
The visit focused on evaluating several healthcare facilities, including Al-Awainat General Hospital, with particular attention to its infrastructure and available equipment.
The team also held a meeting with the hospital administration and visited the local municipal council to discuss operational mechanisms and identify the area’s most urgent needs. This effort is intended to pave the way for a comprehensive plan that includes hospital maintenance, provision of medical and administrative staff, and supplying essential equipment and medications to ensure effective healthcare services for the region.
