Field Visit to Zliten City to Assess Performance and Strengthen Medical Facility Readiness

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, the General Manager of the Emergency Medicine and Support Center conducted an oversight visit to the city of Zliten, which included EMSC’s local office and affiliated medical clinics. The purpose of the visit was to evaluate operational performance and assess on-the-ground requirements.

The visit began with a meeting with the local office manager and several staff members to address urgent operational challenges requiring prompt intervention to ensure the continuity and efficiency of services. This was followed by a walkthrough of the clinic facilities to assess the quality of services provided and hear directly from the medical staff about critical shortages needing immediate attention.

The tour concluded with a site inspection of the isolation facility, which is currently being upgraded into a specialized hospital for advanced orthopedic surgery. Emphasis was placed on the need to expedite the completion of operating rooms, with a firm commitment from the Center to supply essential medical equipment within ten days at most, to keep the project on schedule.
