A phone report was received regarding a fire that broke out inside a residential apartment designated for workers in the city center of Zliten. Immediately, two ambulance units were dispatched to the scene, where heavy congestion of citizens and foreign residents was observed, while police patrols secured the area.
It was determined that the fire occurred in an apartment located on the third floor. Eight individuals were evacuated and transported to the hospital, where immediate medical care and first aid were provided to those suffering from severe smoke inhalation.
Following a search of the apartment by ambulance teams and police units, four individuals were found inside. Medical examinations confirmed, with deep regret, that they had passed away.
