The academic Master’s program officially launched yesterday in the Libyan capital, Tripoli. Organized by the Italian UniCamillus University in collaboration with the Emergency Medicine and Support Center, the program forms part of an international academic partnership aimed at developing the skills and competencies of Libyan medical professionals in line with the highest global standards.
Spanning two years, the program follows an integrated curriculum that combines in-person lectures with theoretical studies delivered through digital platforms, alongside practical training conducted in both Libya and Italy. Educational activities are delivered locally in partnership with That Al Emad University.
The program is officially accredited by the Italian Ministry of Higher Education, the Libyan Medical Specialties Board, and the Libyan Center for Quality Assurance, granting it strong academic and operational recognition both locally and internationally.
The opening ceremony witnessed the participation of high-level Libyan officials, including the Acting Minister of Health, the General Manager of the Emergency Medicine and Support Center, the President of the Medical Specialties Board, and a representative from That Al Emad University. From the Italian side, the event was attended by the Deputy Ambassador of Italy and the Vice Dean of UniCamillus University.
This program marks a significant step forward in preparing specialized healthcare professionals equipped with both knowledge and practical experience. It serves as a vital pillar in strengthening Libya’s healthcare system and enhancing the quality of medical services provided to its citizens.
