From Wadi Umm Al-Burikat, east of the city of Derna, 5 bodies and 3 bags of remains were recovered. These are victims of the Eastern Region flood disaster on yesterday and today, Wednesday, October 25, 2023, by the center’s teams: the 16th Team (“Diving Unit”), the 5th, 6th, and 9th Teams, and the 14th Team (“Disinfection Unit”). This was done in cooperation with the 128th Battalion, Al-Tawhid Battalion, the Naval Special Forces (Frogmen), and volunteer divers.
The bodies were then transferred to Al-Wehda Surgical Hospital to complete burial procedures. We ask Almighty God to accept them among the martyrs.
