Nabd Al-Maidan Field Hospital had the honor of welcoming His Excellency Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, in a visit that underscores the government’s commitment to supporting field-based healthcare initiatives and monitoring projects that strengthen the healthcare sector’s preparedness and capacity to respond effectively under various conditions and emergencies.
Nabd Al-Maidan is a fully self-sustained field hospital equipped with the facilities, infrastructure, and logistical capabilities required to operate efficiently in diverse environments. As part of its social responsibility initiatives, the hospital was adapted to serve students of the University of Tripoli while also functioning as a practical platform for simulating real-world field operations and emergency response scenarios.
Throughout its operation, the hospital has delivered a wide range of healthcare services, including specialized outpatient clinics, a medical laboratory, diagnostic imaging services, and a blood bank supporting donation campaigns. It has also hosted advanced training programs in emergency medicine, first response, diagnostic skills, and primary healthcare practices. More than 350 students, particularly those pursuing medical and allied health disciplines, have benefited from these initiatives.
The hospital also celebrated the graduation of the seventh cohort of personnel from the Emergency Medicine and Support Center and emergency response units. The cohort consisted of 17 medical and allied healthcare professionals who successfully completed intensive training and final simulation exercises, demonstrating a high level of readiness in rescue, evacuation, and emergency response operations.
Since the start of its operations, the hospital has recorded more than 4,000 patient consultations and medical assessments across emergency and specialty services. In addition, 51 trainers from the Center have contributed to its educational programs, while 98 blood donors have participated in donation campaigns, highlighting the hospital’s significant role in strengthening healthcare services and developing national healthcare capacities.
